Teaching An Old Dog New Tricks

Learning how to grow in photography - and loving it.

I have been shooting and editing for over 11 years.  I’ve come to realize with photography, that unless you’re willing to constantly be open to new techniques, education and even critique(s) – you’ll never grow as an artist.  And that’s what photography is to me, my art.  I’m constantly reading, taking classes and talking to other photographers about what works and what doesn’t.  I only want to offer the best of my abilities to my clients and give them lifelong memories they’ll be happy to look back upon.

I’ve recently been exploring becoming a hybrid photographer which means I’d shoot in both digital and film formats.  Prior to doing this I’ve been working with some presets made by Mastin Labs that emulate the look of film.  I absolutely adore the effect they have on my shots.  While I’m not completely convinced that film is the way to go – it certainly looks beautiful and complimenting to my work.

It’s all a process and a journey.  I love it.
